About Me — Sean Manwaring

I’m a photographer from Western Australia with a genuine love for travel, culture, and capturing the world as I experience it. My main focus is timelapse photography—shooting landscapes, cities, and night skies in a way that brings movement and atmosphere to life. I also enjoy street photography and astrophotography, especially anything that lets me work under the night sky.

Travel has shaped a big part of who I am, both personally and creatively. I grew up in Perth and set off on my first solo trip at 20, travelling across China, Mongolia, and Russia on the Trans-Siberian Railway. That experience sparked something in me, and since then I’ve spent time living in England, a period in Paris, travelling through India, and living in Whistler, Canada for a couple of years where I learned to ski.

After coming home in 2019, I started taking photography more seriously and eventually moved into working with photogrammetry, building digital twins for large-scale projects. It’s a different side of the industry, but it’s opened my eyes to new ways of capturing and presenting the world. I’m particularly interested in how it could be used to showcase places and cultures in a more immersive way.

At the core of it all, I just enjoy exploring new places, meeting people, and finding ways to capture those moments.
